Today I am pondering "What is a cat in Ireland?"
Some may find these pictures disturbing.
They are used as target practice.
They are poisoned.
They are collected and then described by some as "saved"
despite being kept in horrendous conditions.
They are mutilated for fun.
They are trapped
They come into rescue like this
And leave like this
Some are blind and need special care.
Some are disfigured.
Some have endured terrible pain but still give love.
Some are brand new and need constant care
Others are very old and need special care and medication
Some are here only for a short time receiving hospice care.
Some are just not strong enough to survive.
MUNCHKIN RIP
ROBINSON RIP.
Kitten adoption is not just about re homing cats and kittens it's about providing education and information to the public in general.

We are always in need of funding our vets bills alone last year which can be viewed
at any time was 16,354E
We always need cat litter, food, blankets and the day to day stuff. Toys for the
kittens are a must, for stimulation and to develop their personalities. The toys need
to be replaced every year.
Vaccines and medicines need to be purchased and then there are the unexpected bills.
Pandora with her leg amputation
Hannah needing her broken leg pinned
Robinson and Toni who needed eyes removed,
Sassy with her cleft palate,
The auld Marjorie who's medicines cost 60 E a month to keep her stable
and the daily routine of " Altering" and
blood testing our adult cats and this is only APRIL.
